Collaboration is The Future
Questions Collective
Questions Collective is an Amsterdam based interdisciplinary, feminist, female identifying collective that combines the backgrounds of the members in design, art, theater, music and choreography – in workshops, performances, exhibitions and theater productions. Questions Collective creates performative installations grounded in a sincere occupation with social issues.
Workshop
Step out of your solo practice for four weeks and practice working as a multidisciplinary collective!
In four weeks you will…
– form a (temporary) collective
– explore collective work-forms
– making together
– situating your practice in collective actions
– finding common ground and excitement
– present a collective art work
In four Thursday afternoons you will be guided by Questions Collective (more info about them below). As part of a bigger group of students from multiple departments everybody will split up into collectives (of four or five people) that will explore how they want to work and what they want to make. We will work towards a presentation.
Result: Each collective makes a collective work of art (this could be in any discipline or a mix of any dicipline like a performance, an installation, a movie, music, sculptures etc etc) that shows the input of every collective member mixed and blurred into a shared work. The last session we present it to each other and invitees.
These four weeks are part of a longer specialization program that Questions Collective has set up at DBKV called Bubbles. This program revolves around immersive art and various forms of collaboration. They want to open the program on four Thursdays in November and enter into a collaboration with other departments in order to allow students from several departments to work together as a collective.
